Update:
Governor Greg Abbott held a press conference along with Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. They were joined by local and state officials.
As of now, over 850 rescues by state and local officials have been successfully conducted. It is confirmed that 32 are deceased: 18 adults and 14 children. 5 adults remain unidentified and 3 children are unidentified. There are still 27 individuals missing.
“My instruction to every state agency who is involved with this is to assume that everyone that is missing is alive and there is a need for speed. Not just every hour but every minute counts which is why there are people in the air, in the water and on the ground right now because there is an effort to save every last life and we will not give up that effort,” —Gov. Abbott.
Please continue to pray for our first responders to find the missing individuals alive. And we pray for those who are grieving because they have lost a loved one.
Beyond tears.
