After 35 years as Texas Children's Hospital CEO, Mark Wallace retires New CEO announced

Mark Wallace, who has been at the helm of Texas Children's Hospital as CEO for over 35 years, announced his retirement, with his last day being October 4, 2024. Following his announcement, Debra Sukin, Ph.D., who was previously appointed as the president of Texas Children’s Hospital, has been named as his successor. She was slated to take over the CEO position beginning on October 5, 2024. This transition comes after Wallace's long tenure during which Texas Children's Hospital significantly expanded and rose to prominence as one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the nation.
