Alex Mealer Announces Candidacy for Texas’ 9th Congressional District
Alexandra del Moral Mealer, a combat veteran, West Point graduate, and former Republican candidate for Harris County Judge, has formally announced her candidacy for Texas’ newly redrawn 9th Congressional District. The announcement, made alongside prominent Houston businessman Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, positions Mealer as a formidable contender in a district reshaped to favor Republican candidates, currently held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Al Green since 2005.
