The new map is projected to create five new red (Republican-leaning) districts in various regions, with the following Partisan Voter Index (PVI) ratings based on 2024 election data:

• One district: R+7 (Trump won by nearly 16 points).

• One district: R+3 (Trump won by 10 points).

• One district: R+8 (Trump won by nearly 18 points).

• Two districts: R+4 (Trump won each by 10 points).

• These districts would likely be carried by prominent Republicans: Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) would have won all five, while Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) would have won four.

• Republicans expect to hold or pick up seats where Trump won by 10+ points in 2024, including those currently held by GOP Reps. Beth Van Duyne, Troy Nehls, Tony Gonzales, and Monica De La Cruz. Their districts’ PVIs are anticipated to stay the same or improve.
