Ellis thinks he's got the right to spend citizens' tax money on Ilegals? Taxes were never levied for that purpose. What he and the rest in the commissioners did is illegal. He's buying votes

Merissa I was looking at current values of land, your original post never mentioned what the buyout was? As my post stated I have no dog in the hunt, keep up the good work!

Looks like it could be an investment property that the owner would not want a buyout from the city? He is paying $96,000 taxes on the tract of land and might have 121 pads for mobile homes. Not sure what that area would bring but just throw out $450 a pad that is $650,000+ annually and say he keeps it 10 years. They have him assessed in 2022 at approx.4.5 m with a now $780K in improvements/3.8 land. Looks like the zip code on a few larger tracts have brought $135,000-145K per acre. Looks better as an investment rather than seeking a buyout but who knows? No Dog in the hunt here but just judging by other properties owned (accessed by anyone on HCAD) they appear to be diversified real estate investors.

It’s flooded and the property is next to an airport in a bad area
