Greg Abbott Signs E.O. 'Operation Fox Hunt' to Target and Arrest Criminals INvolved in CCP Influence Operations

This morning Governor Greg Abbott has issued executive order directing "to target and arrest any criminals executing CCP influence operations like 'Operation Fox Hunt' to forcibly return dissidents to China."

There was a similar Operation launched by the Chinese government called Operation Fox Hunt as well, which is a global effort by the Chinese government to locate and return Chinese nationals accused of various crimes, with a particular focus on economic crimes. This operation has been criticized for overstepping legal boundaries, including instances of harassment, intimidation, and coercion within foreign jurisdictions.
