Ignoring Natural Disasters Can Result in Major Troubles

After the Harvey disaster Harris County’s Commissioners Court created a PIC fund for natural disasters. Over the last few years when COVID hit us, the commissioners court democrat majority voted to allocate the PIC funds for various reasons, such as:

Elections

Vaccine Incentive Gift Cards

Progressive policies.

Here you can see former County Administrator David Berry discussing using PIC funds instead of ARPA money for COVID purposes

In September of I believe 2022 Commissioner Tom Ramsey brought up his concerns of the abuse of PIC funds being used for certain projects not related to natural disasters (which the fund was implemented for)

Then there’s Lina who used more PIC funds from a zoom meeting

We are headed into the worse storm season from what I understand, and how is the county going to pay for all the damage?

In 2022 the unelected Election Administrator pulled nearly a million from the PIC funds for their elections dept which ran on a nearly $40 million dollar budget see ⬇️

The county also took $16.6 million from the PIC FUNDS for ‘election technology’
