Harris County Bureaucrats Take Home Salary Higher than President of United States
The President of the United States of America makes $400K a year. Harris County's Interim County Administrator makes $418K per year. This Harris County dept was created in 2021, their $2.7M in budget 2022 has morphed to $25M in 2025.
Please note that this dept of administrations also has a general administration budget of $231.4M in 2025 vs $56M in 2023. This dept also has a $190 MILLION contingency fund budget. Thats a whopping $446.5M budget for 2025.
To note: Harris County Judge, Lina Hidalgo’s former chief of staff was moved over to the County Administration office, and was given a salary increase. Triantyphillis is now taking home a salary of a quarter million a year.
Thank you! It is amazing how dramatic the increase in budgeting for 2025, not to mention 2024 which is almost completed, for this County Administration in Houston. Actually shocking… None of the other Departments come at all close. Houston needs to be wrapped in billboards highlighting this. Only way, at this point, to reach the drones of Houston.
