Harris County Used Obama-Linked Data Analytics Company Right Before 2020 Presidential Election
Does anyone find is STRANGE that Harris County utilized the Obama-tied data analytics company Civis Analytics and paid the company on:
Date: 9.30.2020 $60,666.67
Date: 10.20.2020 $60,333.33
Right Before the 2020 Presidential election.
Civis has been used for data analytics for the purpose to help dictate election outcomes.
Who remembers when Chris Hollins placed most of the drive-thru voting in predominate Democrat stronghold areas during the 2020 Election? I do.
Who remembers when there were LONG wait times in predominant Republican locations??
Who remembers that less voting machines were placed in Republican precincts?
Who remembers when our county Precinct maps were redrawn to turn all our precincts into Democrat strongholds?
About CIVIS:
Civis Analytics was born out of President Obama’s re-election campaign and changed the game from gut-level guesswork to data-driven campaigning. Much of the direction of this effort was reportedly originally based on the counsel of Google’s Eric Schmidt, who made an investment to keep the Obama Campaign’s analytics group, previously known as “the Cave,” together.
The company, Civis Analytics, is headed by Dan Wagner, who is often credited as having produced Obama’s 5 million-vote margin of victory through his bottom-up analytics strategy that let the data do the directing. Businessweek reports that the company will be staffed by two dozen of his former employees during the campaign, with ownership being shared by both the team and their angel investor, Schmidt.
Gabriel Burt, the Lead Analytics Engineer for the 2012 Obama campaign will serve as the company’s CTO. Burt has a background developing web and analytics software at Novell and IBM, as well as work during college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for the Nuclear Radiation Laboratory, the Institute for Computational Cosmology, NASA, and the NCSA.
During the election campaign, the group developed analytic models in which they ran over 65,000 simulations each night to project who was winning in battleground states. Armed with voter contact data, they would make as many as 9,000 calls in a night to measure broad public opinion in order to develop statistical models (including social networks) that they would then use for highly targeted campaign efforts, leveraging a network of volunteers.
“Thousands of staff and millions of volunteers from across states and backgrounds spoke to millions of their fellow Americans,” says the company website. “The strategy of the campaign was built by the voters we spoke to, and analytics was the bridge. From millions of data points, we constructed the most accurate voter targeting models ever used in a national campaign. We predicted the election outcome in every battleground state within one point. And our work guided decision-making and resource optimization across the campaign.”
Starting to see where this is going? A data analytics group who worked for Obama’s Campaign is receiving LARGE contracts through partisan County contractors to pull your data. Remember how the 2020 Elections drop boxes and drive-thru voting locations were *strategically placed* in order to allegedly manipulate the turnout of the elections results? That was decided by companies like Civis Analytics, inc.
It seems like the next steal was getting planned out, only this time the plan was foiled when the Elevate contract was found out to be awarded to a one person company. Below, in the text message exchange between Chang Chiu and Alex Triantaphyllis (Judge Hidalgo’s Chief of Staff) they lay out the plan to use CIVIS for the vaccine outreach contract, long before the contract was even awarded out.
Why did they already have CIVIS Analytics in mind?
This appears like it could be a conspiracy, no?
Why do organizations need data science?
Organizations are more reliably able to predict the future with certainty and with accuracy are more likely to win. In the case of the Obama campaign, they were able to say, "This is where things are at right now. This is where things are likely to go in the future. Let's make a bet on what that predicted future is likely to be."
Another concerning aspect, Elevate Strategies/ Civis Analytics had their hands on all of this data regarding the Census outreach results and Felicity was involved with the The Voter Participation Center. Can you see how this could be a conflict of interest?
It appears that the VPC has a targeted audience, and tend to lean far to the left.
We have several problems floating around here:
Houston in Action is an alleged partisan group running election seminars now (they are like ACORN)
Civis Analytics, INC has a lot of our Counties Data in order to allegedly manipulate the outcomes of our elections.
Civis is a LARGE DNC donor, so the money they get from the County just goes back into the DNC Machine.
This also would probably explain why the County Democrats have been awarding millions of dollars to Boston Consulting Group in contracts to data mine from our County. All a political campaign has to do is FOIA the data and use it for upcoming campaigning.
How it works:
This was an RFP for Commissioners Court a few months. It passed 4-1 party line (democrat)
Civis Analytics is tied to:
AFT - Randi Weingarten
Boston Consulting Group (which has received nearly $17 million from Harris County for “Covid Project Management”
ADL
Planned Parenthood
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Civis worked with CERN and in Antartica
From Open Secrets:
2020
Civis worked for the state of Illinois to develop advertising messages to encourage the use of masks during the Covid-19 pandemic. Civis claimed that mask-wearing increased 21 percent after its campaign. 10
Civis worked for numerous Democratic presidential primary campaigns, including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX), and Joe Biden (D). 11 It has been attributed to the early surprise success of Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s (D-South Bend) campaign. 12
Civis worked for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign to evaluate the effectiveness of its ads. 13
Other clients of Civis in 2020 included the Senate Majority PAC, the House Majority PAC, Priorities USA Action, DNC Services Corp, the NextGen Climate Action Committee, and Planned Parenthood Votes. 14
2021
In 2021, Civis was working to get FedRAMP authorization, a security clearance which would give the company more opportunities to work as a federal contractor. 15
Leadership
Civis Analytics was founded by Dan Wagner, the chief analytics officer of President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. He was previously the targeting and analytics director of the Democratic National Committee, and the Great Lakes targeting lead for Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Wagner is a member of the Aspen Institute and a team member of the Council on Foreign Relations. 16
Civis had received substantial funding from Eric Schmidt, the former executive chairman of Google and its parent company, Alphabet. Since leaving Google in 2017, Schmidt has become a “powerful political player” who has become influential in Joe Biden’s administration despite pushback from insiders concerned about his ties to big tech. 17
General counsel Laura Belmont was the regional voter protection director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and the Pennsylvania Coordinated Biden-Harris Campaign. 18
Chief financial officer Alan Fu formerly worked at the U.S. Treasury Department on the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). 19
Vice president of business development Ben Fuller was the national data manager on President Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. He was also previously as assistant director at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and worked on one of former U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson’s (D-OH) campaigns. 20
Vice president of research Maeve Ward was the deputy director of public engagement and insights at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. 21
Keep Exposing them!
Both parties are focused on election integrity. DNC strives to compromise integrity at every opportunity; the RNC tries to put out the fires. Compare it to an ocean of effort vs a thimble of prevention. There's much evidence to be alarmed at how compromised the Democrats have made the election system. There is every indication that this is a short term problem. Studies show a significant energy savings by reducing to one party on the ballot. 95% of scientists agree that saving the planet and democracy is for the birds with one stone.
