The ICE Houston field office deported 174 individuals to Mexico over a two-week period from March 17 to March 28, 2025. This operation targeted criminal aliens, including 24 identified gang members, who accounted for 610 criminal convictions and 415 prior removals from the United States. The convictions included serious offenses such as homicide, rape, sexual assault, child sex offenses, drug trafficking, and driving while intoxicated, among others.
Notably, one individual deported during this period was a 36-year-old Mexican national who had illegally entered the U.S. 39 times and had multiple convictions, including for illegal entry, driving while intoxicated, dangerous drugs, and fraud. ICE Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford emphasized that this effort reflects their ongoing commitment to public safety by removing individuals deemed threats to the community.
Lots more to go! But why was that 36 year old who entered the country illegally 39 times (with multiple convictions) not in jail!
