In today’s filings, New York Mayor Adams alleges that 17 Texas bus charter companies have violated Section 149 of the New York Social Services Law. The key element of the statute - that the transport of individuals to New York be "for the purpose of making [them] a public charge" - is easily met. N.Y. Soc. Serv. Law § 149.43. The Defendants have implemented the Texas Governor's publicly announced plan to shift costs from Texas to New York by transporting, or causing to be transported, tens of thousands of individuals in need of care from Texas to New York City. In fact, the Defendants have already transported, or caused to be transported, at least approximately 33,600 individuals in need of care from Texas to New York City and the transports are ongoing.
All of this is cute on Abbott's part, but it really doesn't alleviate the problem of *replacing the United States population with illegal immigrants.* It seems that Abbott is doing enough to catch law suits but not enough to do anything EFFECTIVE in stopping the unprecedented levels of migrants entering this country.

Now that their Cities have to bear a minor burden, compared to Border States, of dealing with illegal immigrants they don't want to deal with it. The Biden Administration has also busted and flown illegals to NY, but Adams only wants to blame Abbott.
