As we wait for the verdict, the grassroots know that if the Texas Senate votes to convict Ken Paton. in his #Paxtonimpeachment that we will have a LOT more work to do to clean up Texas. If the acquit, the task will still be large, but cleaning up the Texas House alone is more doable. - Tom Glass

I presume Whitmire has to vote with all the other Democrats are he’d run the risk of losing support, not making it to the runoff. Anybody is probably better than SJL, which is why Whitmire is quietly campaigning to the remaining red areas of the city.
