Texas Border Counties Announce Invasion

Several TX counties held a press conference in Brackettville, TX today where they declared an “invasion” at the border. The counties invoked Article IV Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees states federal protection from invasion.

"When you hear the term invasion that’s exactly what this is. When you hear the term immigration, I am going to tell you this isn’t immigration, this is slave trade. These individuals we are intercepting, they are the property of the cartel" said Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd

Sheriff Boyd described how the cartel moves them around the country forcing them to work to pay off the cartel, doing things like selling drugs, forces prostitution, and other works. “It is an invasion that is being pushed by the cartels into our country, and it must stop."

Boyd also stated that Governor Abbott threw them a lifeline with the funds and support through operation Lone Star but that the tides are still rising, and they still need more help. “I do not want the cartel driving past the gate where my kids wait for the school bus every day."

The US Constitution guarantees states federal protection from invasion. Joe Biden has burned the Constitution and knowingly and willfully violates federal law every second of every day.

When are we going to start holding our respective Congressional delegations responsible for addressing the decades old problem at our southern border? America has had over 1.7 million border crossings this year (and we know it is a lot more) these border crossing numbers are not sustainable. It’s time we hold these politicians feet to the fire and make them do their jobs.
