Texas GOP Chair Matt Rinaldi Won’t Seek Reelection

Matt Rinaldi has announced he won’t be seeking reelection as Texas GOP chair. Rinaldi leaves the GOP currently with 60% less cash on hand than the party had in 2020 before the Presidential election.

Dr. Dana Meyers has thrown her hat in the ring for GOP chair. Dr. Meyers has been at the forefront of election integrity and reform here in Texas, Dana was involved in the campaign of removing ERIC from cleaning our states voter rolls. With extensive for-profit and nonprofit executive leadership experience, Dr. Dana Myers has participated in the Republican grassroots movement for more than two decades, starting at the local neighborhood, county, and now state level. 

Dana currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Texas, has twice served as Vice Chair of the Harris County Republican Party (HCRP), past VP Membership-Texas Federation of Republican Women Executive Board, and Co-Chair of Engagement for HCRP.

Every important GOP issue Texas faces, Dr. Meyers has her thumb on.

Rinaldi has thrown his support behind Abraham George of Collin County, who announced his candidacy for GOP chair.
