Harris County has spent $60M of Harvey Money building 140 low income land trust single family homes, qualification is based on income, NOT flood status, buyers are also given a sales price based on their salary & given $35K for down payment & closing costs.

That's the average price for all of the homes. They plan to spend more for the homes in the " planning stage" This is also money already spent not budgeted for a project. They have spent $13,413,288 on 22 homes to be built in Humble that's $ 609,694.90 per home.

It gets worse. When you factor in the subsidizing that would be required for these people to purchase these homes based on the max income they are allowed to make to qualify to purchase.
