The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act, requires people registering to vote in federal elections to provide documentary proof of citizenship.
I'm all for it. Dems arguing that it is already law to be a citizen to vote belies the fact a lot of states do not enforce that during voting as Arizona shows by fighting the concept to require it at the voting booth or mail in count. They claim (as do other states) that checking a statement to declare citizenship on a registration card is sufficient. Even Texas allows a check off box when providing drivers licenses and automatic voter registration to immigrants and that suffices is my understanding.
When I got my drivers license in Texas we had to present a valid birth certificate. That is no longer required.
Very unfair attempt to deprive the dead and Chinese Zombies from Shanghai of their D votes. They have feelings too.
Isn’t basically every thing you mentioned here(in the bill) ALREADY a law?? how about enforcing what’s already in place??
