The United States Postal Service has brought 33 workers to the Houston area to try and alleviate the problems causing delivery delays, U.S. Rep. Al Green announced Tuesday.
There are 23 people being brought in to "help with the backlog" in addition to 10 plant managers. However, what roles they will do and which facilities they will be working at is unknown.
A USPS spokesperson didn't respond for comment when asked for more information on these new personnel as of Noon Wednesday. Green told the Houston Chronicle he didn't know the specifics of the roles.
The decision to add these new workers comes after weeks of people in and around the Houston area complaining about long delays with their mail and packages getting delivered and received.
"The impact of this transcends the boundaries of Houston," Green said.

I watched a great YouTube video which does have a slant left, but they make some really good points about changes under the current leaderships 10 year plan to make USPS solvent. With all that said here it is: https://youtu.be/KFYybL1OY2Q?si=NJXJC3ZNPtdPB8qv
