Chris Hollins has been in the spotlight in Houston due to his role as the City Controller and his involvement in recent political controversies from allegations made in a Press Conference that the Mayor of Houston held on October 17th, John Whitmeyer alleged that Hollins was involved in a pay-to-play scheme for a Houston Investor Conference.
So who is Chris Hollins, and how did he get his rise in the Houston Political scene?
Chris Hollins attended Yale Law School and received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Law School. Hollins was a summer intern during the presidency of Barack Obama. As a White House intern, Hollins worked in the Office of Presidential Personnel which oversees the selection process for presidential appointments. Hollins has become the protege in the Democrat political spectrum with endorsements from the likes of Eric Holder and Commissioner Rodney Ellis.
Hollins professional experience includes positions with Goldman Sachs’s and McKinsey & Company where he operated as a management consultant Hollins proceeded to move back to Houston and became political within the DNC.
On May 16, 2020, the Commissioners Court for Harris County voted to appoint 33 -year-old Hollins as Interim Clerk for Harris County, Texas by a 3–2, PARTY-LINE vote after his predecessor, Diane Trautman, resigned from the position citing “ill health” The appointment of Hollin’s was put forth by Democrat Commissioners Adrian Garcia and Rodney Ellis.
Prior to Trautman’s resignation, on 4/28/20 Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis approved $12 million for Diane Trautman to expand the "ABSENTEE BALLOT" or what many call the "MAIL BALLOT" voting for the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, Primary Runoff Elections, and the Tuesday, November 3, 2020, General Election as well. Please note, that there was money earmarked inside the budget for Diane Trautman to send "MAIL BALLOT APPLICATIONS" to every 65+ voter inside Harris County, Texas -- whether they wanted an absentee or not.
Texas AG filed a lawsuit against Hollins as County Clerk to prevent Hollins from carry out a plan to send ballot-by-mail applications to all registered voters in the County. The ADL, NAACP , and Brennan Center all filed a brief to side with the Harris County Clerk against the state of Texas
As Harris County Interim Clerk, Hollins also facilitated Drive-thru voting and dicatated polling locations for the City. The polling locations seemed to have been strategically placed in Democrat Stronghold areas.
Hollins implemented the S.A.F.E voting plan in which was pulled from the County’s General Funds and Public Improvement Contingency Funds in the amount of $17.17 million.
Hollins changed the election central count to NRG stadium, one may ascertain this would create a lot of insecure areas which could allow fraud to occur since it is such a large venue.
The budget for the 2020 Presidential election also blossomed nearly 400% from previous elections.

On top of the funds listed above. Hollins also accepted Zuckerbucks to facilitate Drive-Thru voting
It is worth noting, Hollins also hired Darryl Blackburn, who recently received 6 indictments over the ballot shortage which occurred in the 2022 election.
