This is an outstanding Petition. I have been a poll worker many times, and on Nov. 8. Reading this Petition makes my blood boil again. Every one of these allegations are true. Although our location handled the unscannable ballots properly, it is only because we had a knowledgeable Republican PJ, and, I had attended trainings provided by the EA (lame) and HCRP (excellent), so I was able to direct the other clerks on proper procedure. We came close to running out of ballot paper, so started calling at 2pm for resupply and never got any. We were only notified of polls staying open by a little dancing envelope on the ePollBook. Those icons were often not noticed for hours, so some polls may not have known to stay open. Not mentioned is that voting Provisional required calling the EA phone line, which was inaccessible most of the day because it didn't have enough people to man the lines. Thirty minute waits for processing Provisional Ballots was not uncommon. Most Republican PJs know to take their votes themselves to the Central Count location. I have had to insist on it when a Sheriff's Deputy or EA trainee has come to pick them up. It is always a sore point with me that there is so much chain of custody procedure at the polling location, and yet, when the actual votes are dropped at Central Count, none of the kids handling the equipment knows how to get me a Chain of Custody document.
