People ask that of Lee Zeldin for NY state Governor’s race as well. I do believe Mealer was a great candidate no matter what! She should have won. These election glitches need to get fixed immediately! No excuses!!!!!

Again - WHY did Mealer concede when she did? Seems like she wasn't a good candidate for the job if she backed down that quickly.

My new first question for a primary candidate. Will you fold in the first 10 ten minutes or only concede when every last ballot is counted !

I think that Alex was trying to be gracious and do the right thing. But her concession does not affect any legal action that she or the Republican Party may file for voter suppression or election violations. The Harris County Republican Party has hired a great election litigation firm that is investigating why all the 23 polling locations that ran out of paper ballots were Republican stronghold polling sites. There were also technical issues as well, and some polls were not able to open at 7:00 am. Also, Election Judges couldn’t get hold of the Election Administrator’s office when they had tech issues or were running of paper. The EA’s office either didn’t answer the phone or left the Election Judges on hold forever. The polling locations in Dem areas had plenty of paper and their voting machines worked.

Creepy how similar this is to the situation in Arizona.

Why would that make her want to concede?? Seems more like controlled opposition. I hope to be wrong but little points to another explanation. However I’m definitely open to one.

I wonder WHY???

If Alex turns out to be the true winner why would her concession preclude her from taking office?

It doesn’t! Go to the HCRP website page and listen to their press release they had this afternoon. The attorney for HCRP said that Alex’s concession was not a legal admission, so it doesn’t matter if she conceded. She just conceded to be an honorable person, I suspect.
