Why is Harris County spending over $5 million for “Voter outreach, branding and marketing” for our November 2022 elections? The 2016 Presidential Election cost Harris County only $4+ million. The County has allocated over $30 million for the Elections Department, and continues to keep dipping into our general funds account for more money. What exactly is the money going to?
Side note: this RFP is not for the Toll Road Authority but for the November Elections.
The County also approved of using Runbeck Election Services (which services was used by Fulton and Maricopa in the 2020 Presidential Elections) to print our mail-in-ballots for the 2022 November Elections.
It’s beginning to look like Rodney Ellis is planning on spending a ton of your tax dollars to ensure he gets the results he wants in the November elections.
Below you can see the amount of money the County allocated for our Elections department. Yes, that’s nearly $30 million, and this doesn’t show all the money which has moved from our general funds to cover “supplemental costs” which are in the millions in the past several months.
The county took $2 million from the general funds for the “Election worker program” on 4.5.22
The county also took another $125 grand from the general funds to conduct a “study on the primary election” the studies response used former Smartmatic employee Heider Garcia (from Venezuela) who runs the elections in Tarrant County for his input. Their findings claimed that the County should “spend more money on our elections”
Man, they are just outright looting the Harris County coffers.
Sad to see this level of waste and abuse. Voting is something that should be marketed at students in the school system via Civics classes. There should be no outreach needed by elections departments. Political parties should be the ones marketing elections to adults.
Regarding the $0 line item in 20-21, that could be a dead period for voting if no elections were held in that County's fiscal year. You'd have to take a look at budgets from prior fiscal years to be sure.
The $125,000 to conduct a study with Heider Garcia, former Smartmatic Exec is a huge red flag. Smartmatic is a Venenzuela-based voting machine firm that ushered in dictator Chavez while Garcia was an exec (look at Venenzuela today under this regime). Smartmatic was also implemented in Philippines election fraud and had to stand trial, wherein Garcia's passport was taken while he had to testify for fraudulently allowing the voting machines to be designed with backdoors for internet connectivity when Smartmatic had assured the Philippine government the machines didn't have internet connection capability (promised to be secure from being hacked). Garcia left Smartmatic to serve as election manager in Placer County, CA from 2016-2018 where he immediately replaced voting machines with Hart Intercivic and outsourced ballot printing to RUNBECK. Consequently, Placer County experienced 1/3 of mail-in ballots being rejected due to printer error and requiring ajudication (hand redone). In 2018 Garcia replaced Tarrant County's brand new election administrator (on the job just 2 weeks), immediately replaced voting machines with Hart Intercivic and outsourced ballot printing to RUNBECK - prior to this ballots had been printed in-house. And yes - that next election in 2020 saw 30% of mail-in ballots (22,000) being rejected due to PRINTER ERROR and requiring ajudication (opportunity for fraud). And Tarrant flipped blue for the first time since the 1960's. Another question - why is Harris County wanting input from a SMARTMATIC exec, when this firm is deeply linked to election fraud in 2 countries and whose former CEO Lord Malloch Brown is Soros' right hand man, and is now President of Soros' Open Society Foundation, which is avowed to destroy America? Hart Intercivic is also linked to Malloch-Brown; look up the connections. I have links if needed!
