Harris County Judge fresh off of her month-long vacation to Southeast Asia and Colombia is confronted after concealing the trip she took claiming she was tending only to her ailing grandfather.
It appears from the confrontation that Hidalgo thinks it’s funny that she took the 3-week long vacation, whilst her constituents were dealing with the Tornado which touched down in the County while she was out galivanting around Southeast Asia.

Cloaked by her taxpayer funded private security, Hidalgo once again refused to answer questions pertaining to why she concealed her “preplanned” vacation in which she only addressed after it had been discovered she had left the country under the guise of her “ailing grandfather.”
Hidalgo’s private security detail has become a sore spot for the judge, beginning in April of last year, the county entered into a no-bid contract for $121,524 to XMi Protection, a private company, with the duty of protecting Hidalgo for 12 hours a day, seven days a week from through July 25. In August of 2021, Hidalgo renewed the contract for an additional $320 thousand, to cover her security through November. It still has yet to be announced how much Hidalgo’s security has cost taxpayers since her fortified win. One could guess that it’s now at least a million in which she has spent of taxpayer money on her private security. Rich since she has created an unsafe environment for her constituents. Imagine what that sort of money could have done if it had gone to our severely underfunded police department.
My question here is: Is Hidalgo’s grandfather really that sick if she went out of the country to southeast asia?
Why did Hidalgo use the premise that her grandfather was sick and she was only going to Colombia? Why did she conceal her trip to southeast Asia?
Something isn’t adding up here.
Hidalgo has now taken several vacations out of the country in the past two years. Trips to Honduras right before she imposed mask mandates for HISD citing covid threat levels….. What is a county judge doing taking these trips on taxpayer dollars?
The security detail look like thugs and the one security lady’s button is going to pop if she moves the wrong way trying to protect this so-called judge. Is she really that unsafe? I don’t even think most of our Senators and Congressmen have security as they eat their meal. What a joke she is! Can’t believe this fake liberal judge was elected again. People are so blind.
