To be fair, the Constables only lost their savings account, nobody lost their jobs, or cars, when their budget was cut.
Not a new tactic, years ago CC withheld funding for patrol cars from Sheriff Jack Heard and gave it to the Constables, which set in motion the biggest county scam, the contract patrol program.
