Yesterday, Mayor Turners communications director Mary Benton announced that the City and County will no longer “accept ghost guns aka 3D printed guns in future gun buyback drives” This announcement came after the Mayor and Commissioner figured out they had been H-town hustled. What was even more concerning was that Commissioner Rodney Ellis responded to our District accusing her of “political theatre” by denouncing the gun buy back programs anonymous turn in process.
Still, the biggest problem we are facing here, is the fact that the Gun buyback program has now impeded many unsolved gun crime investigations the County and City has accumulated.
