Yes a person I know has no income, for some reason despite multiple injuries and disabilities cannot qualify for SSDI, does get HHA assistance (her entire income) for a place to live but with no vehicle cannot realistically seek work, and BR won't provide energy assistance for electricity. Wait 'til next fiscal year for more funding is the reply, for an ask of about $150/mo for power. These guys are creme de la creme scam (skim) artists.
Have her call Heard and Smith Disability Law firm. I'm Disabled and they handled my case and are so wonderful! I have recommended several Disabled people online to go to them and never once has anyone said anything but GOOD about them! Praying for your friend as well! 💜🙏
It's sad that nowadays you have to have lawyers to get disability. But these guys are so great and they have a cap on what they get once you get back pay. they don't take part every month and your friend should accrue back pay from time of filing until approval. It took mine awhile but they did everything and I just was able to focus on other stuff, and if anything was needed they walked me through it. Tell her to hang in there n my husband and I are Praying for her! 💜🙏

She recently re-applied and was denied as they say are 65% of applicants - yikes! Who are they helping besides illegal aliens? Again, many thanks for the information, please pray for my friend who is truly suffering - who can live on food stamps and $32/month?
