All I see is gigantic apartment complexes going up in our Houston suburbs. Many look like “government housing!” Not what the suburbs used to be like years ago. It pushes thousands of people in and that many more on the roadways. It takes me twice as long to get my child to school now. So much for single family subdivisions and neighborhoods.
The question is... HOW does he plan to do it? Because the way Turner, Ellis and all their cronies in the Houston Housing Authority had a different idea of what "affordable housing" is supposed to look like, and that was taking over existing complexes in affluent neighborhoods under shady PFCs and "public notice" and zero opposition as a result. This happened where I live and I am furious. I'm all for making Houston more affordable but let the free market decide that.

Perhaps he will be a breath of fresh air for Houston.
